The following steps show how to create Investigation, Study and Assay and a dose-response example data file. This tutorial was prepared using the “Advanced” version of the ISAcreator, so we suggest that you make use of that (the differences are anyway slight).
The workflow (the experimental graph) of an example dose –response study using 96 wells plate is shown on the next figure. The study file describes the step of obtaining samples with specified cell culture (compound, concentration and cell line specified by Factor Value fields).
The Sample Name is the same as defined in the Study file. The characteristics [well] gives the position in the plate. The AssayName identifies the well content and will be used in the data file (the file names are in the last two columns).
